LinkedIn is getting better all the time for researching both companies and people, as well as for job postings. Information on LinkedIn is provided by the company or person, so you can be fairly sure it’s accurate. Much of the information is available in full to members only, but joining is free. Profile holders control how much they show and to whom, so if you're not connected to the person, chances are you won't see everything on their profile.

  • Search by name from the home page.
  • Choose "advanced" next to the form on the top right to combine search criteria or limit by geographic location.
  • Find people with specific job titles at particular companies using a combined title and company search.
